Inspiration: Nicole

Nicole had a traumatic brain injury from a near drowning accident in August 2000 when she was 4 years old. She is now 7 (4-26-96). Nicole has made some progress from that horrible day, from surviving hour to hour, day to day, and finally upon her release from the hospital and rehab center. She came home March 2001, and has gone from not being able to move at all to just now starting to make some small movements, voicing, swallowing, etc.  She still needs complete assistance to do anything.  Through research and the suggestion of Izabela from Suittherapy@aol.com we have discovered hyperbaric oxygen therapy.  We have researched many case studies and in some cases this has worked miracles for children in Nicole’s situation.  The HBOT is required to help Nicole get back as much function as possible and to be able to enjoy her life and be healthy.  These treatments will only continue if the brain scans show improvement.  She needs the funds for her to continue getting treatments.

UPDATE:
Nicole has started to receive HBOT and now has gained the ability to show facial expressions.  However, she will require continued treatments to assist her progress.  Together we are making a difference and we must continue to keep making that difference.
